Autumn Dance

The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God. and no torment shall touch them.  Wisdom 3:1

This autumn afternoon lightly holds on to the last veil of summer’s warmth. We too, try to hold these last few precious moments of summer knowing it will soon be gone from us for a while.

Today another veil slips thinner. Our loved ones that dwell in the light  of the sun, eagerly await to be closer to us on this Hallo of days. A day when their signs of love are most easily recognized by our opened eyes.

Souls on each side of the veil dance in joy and remembrance.  Souls are carried as  if they are but tiny autumn leaves on a gentle current of air. Inspired by the divine they laugh until tears of joy become tears of, until we meet again.

This autumn night lightly holds the hands of the dancers like invisible lace as the veil falls back into place.

May I one day join my loved ones, and they dance with God.

Between Beats

Each beat of the heart is a hug from God.

 In the moments between beats we long for God to return.

Such is the unifying love with God.

May I feel the love of God’s grace and mercy with each beat of my heart.
